The NYT said the new environmental enemy is going to be the Recreation Industry with resorts like Snowbowl needing to constantly encroach, expand and gobble up US land to stay in business.

I went skiing once and loved it. But I was freelancing at the time and knew too many people who were on crutches thanks to slope accidents and since crutches and 4 flights of brownstone stairs don’t match up well, I stayed away from the slopes. Needless to say, with or without skis, I have no plans to visit this Arizona mountain.
